In My Mailbox *5*

Created by The Story Siren who was inspired by Alea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week, I got three books again. Two of which were actually the same book (Possible giveaway, maybe)! I actually didn't even realize that until they got here, but yea. And one of which I bought at the store. So anyways, here we go!

Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson
(paperback) Courtesy of Carrie's YA Bookshelf and The Dreamer Reader

From the back cover:
Her new summer job comes with baggage.

Scarlett Martin has grown up in a most unusual way. Her family owns the Hopewell, a small Art Deco hotel in the heart of New York City.

When each of the Martins turn fifteen, they are expected to take over the care of a suite. For Scarlett's fifteenth birthday, she gets both a room called the Empite Suite and a permanent guest named Mrs. Amberson. Scarlett doesn't quite know what to make of this C-list starlet and world traveler. And when she meets Eric, and astonishingly gorgeous actor who has just moved to the city, her summer takes an unexpected turn.

Before the summer is over, Scarlett will have to survive a whirlwind of thievery and romantic missteps. But in the city where anthing can happen, she just might be able to pull it off.

Atonement by Ian McEwan
(mass market paperback)
From the back cover:
On a summer day in 1935, young Briony Tallis witnesses a moment's flitation between her older sister, Cecilia, and Robbie Turner, the sun of a servant. But Briory's misunderstanding of adult motives and her precocious imagination bring about a crime that will change all their lives, a crime whose repercussions Atonement follows through the chaos and carnage of World War II and into the close of the 20th century.
